Why Choose Click Engineered Flooring?

Click engineered flooring provides a quicker, easier and cheaper installation method. The flooring has been produced with a specially designed click and lock system (many click patterns) so that the planks simply joint together for a tight join without the need for nails, screws and adhesive.

Engineered click hardwood floors are becoming more and more popular with home renovators and DIYers as it provides a beautiful wood floor that can be installed directly without any technical knowledge or expensive equipment.

Engineered Click hardwood floors are strong, durable, hard-wearing and dimensionally stable. If properly cared for, it can last for decades. Engineered hardwood floors are extremely dimensionally stable and therefore have the advantage of being compatible with underfloor heating and rooms with fluctuating temperatures, such as greenhouses. It can also be installed in a number of ways to suit your requirements; either floating on the pad or held in place with adhesive.

How to install Click Engineered Flooring?

The most common method of installing engineered click flooring is to lay loosely (or float) on the underlay. The underlay is used as a layer between the subfloor and wooden floors. The click-to-install system means floor plates can easily be clicked together and locked into place without the need to glue them to the underlying floor. There is a range of subfloors available, including noise reduction subfloors, insulation and subfloors designed specifically for the underfloor heating systems.

Alternatively, if you like, you could attach the hardwood floor directly to the bottom floor. Click flooring can be installed on almost any subfloor, but it requires a solid foundation and should never be installed on joists.
